NO LEOPARDS IN THIS GARDEN

I took a painting class called Leopard in the Garden and it didn’t quite work out…

I pay a monthly subscription to Amanda Evanston’s Insiders Studio and give it a lot of credit for getting me back to this place. Her classes are really fun, her energy is fantastic and they’re great for every skill level. But what it did for me is it told me exactly what to do until my artistic instincts kicked in again.

Anyways, this painting was loosely based on one of her classes except there’s supposed to be a leopard in the garden. And there is, or there was. But it looked so terrible that it promptly got painted over with flowers.

Some gardens just don’t need leopards in them.

This painting is 30 inches wide by 40 inches tall. It is painted in acrylic on archival-quality natural cotton canvas, finished with a matte varnish so this piece will stand the test of time.
